I tested 6 different plant based milks.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I use soy milk from a dutch brand called &#8216;Melkan&#8217;. You can use your home made yogurt to make a new batch, again and again.<\/p>\n<p>This time I used a simple strawberry yogurt as a starter culture. If you don&#8217;t want to use any dairy, you can buy some soy yoghurt. It contains<\/span><span class=\"goog-text-highlight\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u00a0seven jars, and I find it\u00a0ideal because one\u00a0liter of (soy) milk fills exactly\u00a0six jars. These kind of automatic heating pots<\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u00a0allow you to set the temperature, which is actually ideal for making yogurt, but you can also use it to make bread dough, to make tempeh, and to cook .. <\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">But if you just want to try it\u00a0then you can start by placing the yogurt in the oven with the oven light turned on or with a hot water bottle wrapped in cloths. As you can see on the picture below, two jars look transparant with sediment on the bottom.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The rest looks more hopeful. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Let&#8217;s\u00a0take a\u00a0closer look ..<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">First, the soymilk. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">This is my control sample to compare the rest. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">A beautiful, smooth yogurt, similar to the stirred yoghurt from the store.
